Message-Based Segments

Segment contacts based on email or webhook message delivery and engagement.

Create segments based on whether a contact received or interacted with a specific campaign message.

Setup

  1. Open SegmentsCreate Segment.
  2. Add a condition type Email or Webhook.
  3. Use the Any dropdown to search campaigns and messages.
  4. Choose the action — received, opened, clicked, or failed.

Use cases

  • Re-engage contacts who opened but didn't click
  • Exclude people who already received a promotion
  • Follow up with non-openers after 3 days
  • Build lookalike audiences from high-engagement messages
